Adelaide’s Hidden Gems 3 – Winery tours of the Southern Vales and Barossa Valley

If you have the time, and like wine, then a wine tasting tour of the Barossa Valley or Southern Vales is a must.  There’s many ways you can do it; a group bus, a limo or (and I don’t recommend this unless you have someone who really is teetotal driving) hire a car and get the iphone app (sadly not available on android).

The limo would be my choice as you get to change the itinerary if something distracts you but the bus means you’ll get to meet people but any way you choose will mean that you get to have drinkies and lunch (usually a BBQ overlooking the vineyard), sometimes a tour of the winery and generally kick back and savour the delights of an extremely civillised winery crawl.

I really can’t recommend this enough if you like wine.  It really is a highlight of any trip to Adelaide.
