Almost done

 (this was originally posted on Alexia’s MySpace page back in 2007 but since it looks like MySpace will be closing it’s doors soon I’m rescuing the posts I can find and putting them here)

I’m almost ready with the gallery – even I can’t dither much longer.. everything is – in theory- ready to go.. all i need to do is place the ads and lift the restriction on people entering..

but i don’t want to

have decided that I don’t like my prices – can’t work out if they’re too high or too low. I’ve seen some rubbish at extortionate prices and some beautiful pieces dirt cheap.. I thought I’d priced mine realistically and have now decided that I’m completely wrong.

The only thing that saddened me was i wanted to make one of my pieces a charity fund raiser.. had it all worked out but couldn’t get timely (i.e. any) response from the charity place or the people i wanted to support it.. that’s sl for you – everyone is too busy leading their lives..

so the piece is on sale as a normal bit of art – a shame, but i didn’t want to wait any longer.

so.. angst aside, in the next few days I’ll throw open the doors and wait for the response.. Was going to have an official opening, then changed my mind, may change it again, but since the group I created to organise it has been closed by LL because I didn’t even get around to getting a second person to join (1 person can’t be a group – can you believe that?? lol) it’s probably unlikely.

still can’t work out if this is me trying to be some kind of crazy perfectionist or if I’m suffering a crisis in confidence.. we’ll all know in a few days if I still haven’t opened the damn thing yet.. 🙂
