Finally – I’m creating art again in sl *big grin* So come to my exhibition opening.

I haven’t done the art thing for a long time.  Many different reasons, but it’s always bothered me that I stopped doing what I loved.  Building things is ok and I think I have finally nailed a scripters foot to the floor to help me finish off all the things that I am just completely incapable of hacking/creating the scripts to make work, but it’s not as satisfying as the art.

Anyway, I think I’m back…  it could just be a minor hiccup, but I’m hoping it isn’t.

… and because I never had an opening or closing party for La Vie and to celebrate my return to the mantle of ‘artiste’ (ok inwardly I’m rolling my eyes at that comment) I’m going to have an exhibition *and* an opening night party.

That’s the theory.  I must admit I’ve never thrown a real bash inworld before so I’m not too sure what I need to do.  So far I’ve got the invite created, have the space, decided I have too much space and agonised over what to fill it with, sorted that and have now decided I have too many things in there and need to cull, have dug my flying butler out of the inventory to serve drinks and am agonising over food and possibly a dancefloor (organising parties in rl is far easier!!)

There’s two parts to the exhibition, the main one called “The Collar” which is what triggered this step back into art and then my ‘filler’ (ok, possibly cruel but I had to work out how to fill all the space!) which I’m calling “What I See”.  It’s a selection of my real world photographs from my travels through this life of mine.  Normally my inworld art is pure sl, in this case I’m layering it with my first life.

Everyone is welcome to share with me my joy at creating again.  I haven’t gone back to sculpting (yet) but wall art is a big step forward.

When:  22 November 2008 (It’s a Saturday so it allows for most timezones)

Where:  Satiated Desires Level 4.  (Of course I didn’t think to grab the LM and I’m not inworld)

Time:  1pm SLT (I’m hoping that’s 9pm GMT and allows for most timezones except for our antipodean cousins)

Dress:  However you like..  I’m going to make an effort as I rarely do social things inworld and so a chance to dress up is good 🙂

I love people giving me feedback on my art – good or bad…  As long as you take the time to actually look and react I’m happy.
