‘People’ behaving badly
(this was originally posted on Alexia’s MySpace page back in 2007 but since it looks like MySpace will be closing it’s doors soon I’m rescuing the posts I can find and putting them here)
there are some people (and I do use the term loosely) in Second Life who really need to go see a doctor…
During the last couple of weeks my house has been under assault because of my neighbour. It seems that my neighbour is standing in some Spanish elections and has a presence in sl.. fine so far. The opposition also has a presence in sl.. also fine. What isn’t fine is that they have decided to indulge in warfare.. so far i have been completely disabled on my land as someone is running lagging scripts that make even the most basic of tasks almost impossible, my land has been attacked by those huge prims (they’re too big for the neighbours land so of course covered mine too) and my security system is constantly throwing Spanish avs out of my house.. on top of that I have my neighbours whining at me about it – as if i care, i’m rarely there at the moment – and all up it’s becoming seriously unpleasant.
my previous piece of land had the sl equivalent of a bikie gang move in just after i bought it.. they decided that covering their land with visually ugly stuff wasn’t enough, they had to go 800m up too.. I had this terrible orange spinning sculpture ruining my view – and when i asked them if they’d take it down, got the normal childish response that seems to be so prevalent here.. so I moved, and what happens? within a day of me buying the new land the Spaniard moves in.. he wasn’t even very chatty when i went over to introduce myself on the first day.. bah!
and then I find out today that the ABC Island has been completely trashed by griefers. it seems they destroyed everything. Thankfully LL did a rollback, but the pointlessness of it all is just amazing… I have a soft spot for the island, i went to it’s opening day and was so impressed, they do lots of work in supporting the ABC community in sl and are all-round good guys. So of course it makes them a target for damaged scum.
and the worst thing is that the summer school holidays in the northern hemisphere hasn’t started yet. I remember last year, and can only sigh as the damage these little darlings will do between now and September.
It’s so strange, I really do have problems with people who get their pleasure from causing people misery and destroying stuff. I can only hope these ‘people’ don’t breed.
